The City of Apache Junction requires that all businesses operating within the city obtain a Privilege License (sales tax) or a Business License (services and regulated businesses) or an Operating License (for non-profits). Additionally, businesses located inside the city limits, including home-occupations, must obtain zoning clearance for their business license(s). Effective July 1, 2007, the City began collecting and administering its own sales tax.
