Tribal Energy Program
The Tribal Energy Program provides technical assistance and information to tribes regarding their renewable energy portfolio and business plans. The Tribal Energy program is assisting universities by collaborating on tribal projects and partnering on photovoltaic system deployment on tribal lands.
Tribal Rural Electrification Program
The Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Office in the process of revamping this program.

Building New Traditions Using Traditional Concepts for a Sustainable Building Workshop - April 22, 2008
Over 20 people attended the one-day green building workshop on April 22, 2008. The presentations provided an introduction to green building programs that have shown to generate manifold benefits for citizens, employers, business, industry and local governments. Over 90 people attended the Southwest Tribal Energy Peer Exchange on September 25 - 26, 2007 at the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel in Tempe, Arizona. The energy-related presentations focused on business development, financing, tribal energy programs and projects, renewable energy technologies, and utility formation.
