Film Industry Vehicle Tax Fees

Production vehicles entering Arizona for the purpose of motion picture production on location are exempt from the Use Fuel Tax.

Non-resident commercial vehicles entering or traversing Arizona are required to pay fees and taxes for highway use. Production vehicles are not exempt from the Non-Resident Registration Permit Fee. This fee is based on axles, weight and length of stay. Vehicles must pay it at the ports of entry. Drivers of production vehicles en route to a filming location should notify the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division authorities at the port of entry.
