Arizona Statewide Economic Study 2002

Infrastructure Reports
Arizona"s infrastructure is an important determinant of its economic opportunities. The Technical Advisory Committee identified five infrastructure elements that are critical to virtually all of Arizona"s economic sectors. Each of these elements have been analyzed extensively in other studies, many of which are cited in the reports in this section.

The goal here is to present summary level information that can be useful to shaping Arizona?s economic challenges and opportunities. Specifically, the researchers were asked to assess the sufficiency of Arizona?s infrastructure and identify shortfalls. There has been careful consideration to ensure that the Infrastructure Reports support both Old Economy and New Economy sectors.

These reports vary in length and approach. This is a reflection of the availability of current information, and not a statement about the relative importance of the subject.
