Smart Growth Interagency CommitteeThe Smart Growth Interagency Committee is comprised of representatives from the fifteen Growth Cabinet agencies. The Committee was created to provide planning expertise, tools, training and assistance to help local, county, and Tribal communities with the various aspects of smart growth and self-assessments related to the Arizona Smart Growth Scorecard, currently under development. To do this, the Committee is partnering with the Arizona Department of Commerce Office of Smart Growth. The Committee will continuously collaborate with cities, towns, counties, regional entities, and Tribal communities regarding smart growth concepts and development processes. The Committee is also charged with ensuring that all agencies are preparing to use the Smart Growth Scorecard in their discretionary funds grant application processes and offering technical assistance to agencies as they implement the Scorecard. Additionally, the Committee is initiating the development of the Smart Growth Resource Guide that will identify each state agency’s smart growth liaisons with contact information, resource programs, website links and serve as a one-stop-shop for all state smart growth related initiatives, activities and resources.
