ABOUT THE ARIZONA COMMERCE AUTHORITY

The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) is the leading economic development organization with a streamlined mission to grow and strengthen Arizona’s economy. The ACA uses a three-pronged approach to advance the overall economy: recruit, grow, create – recruit out-of-state companies to expand their operations in Arizona; work with existing companies to grow their business in Arizona and beyond; and partner with entrepreneurs and companies large and small to create new jobs and businesses in targeted industries.

The ACA is overseen by a public-private sector board comprised of Arizona leaders in business and policy. The board is overseen by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and co-chaired by Jerry Colangelo, partner of JDM Partners and chairman of USA Basketball. Joining them on the board is a group of prestigious private-sector business leaders, elected officials and university presidents.

The ACA’s executive management team drives the organization’s day-to-day operations, ensuring it maintains focus on the recruitment of quality companies and jobs to the state of Arizona. This team brings together the best and brightest in economic development, management and communications.

SparXX is now accepting applications for the Spring cohort SparXX 20. The program is to provide women business owners with resources and knowledge to grow their businesses.  SparXX 20 will include a series of weekly expert faculty-led workshops on Tuesdays, 4:00 – 8:00 pm, March 22nd to April 26, at the SkySong Innovation Center in south Scottsdale.  Please share this with woman business owners who may be interested, and help women business owners continue to grow in Arizona!

Business Planning Course

This dynamic course is ideal for new businesses in planning stages, but is also effective for young companies or established businesses that need a fresh plan for a new market. Topics covered include essentials critical to running a successful business such as organization, operations, competitive analysis, market positioning, management and marketing. Participants have weekly assignments to build their plan and complete a business plan by the end of the course.
