The Arizona State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) program supports small businesses by improving their access to capital. The initiative is part of a broader federal effort to help small businesses grow and create jobs. The program provides funding to state programs that partner with private lenders to extend capital to small businesses that might not otherwise have access to loans or investment capital.

SCALE (Strategic Coaching for Advancing Local Entrepreneurs) is a statewide initiative developed by the Arizona Small Business Association in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority to help Arizona's small businesses start strong, grow sustainably, and access new opportunities.
PHOENIX, AZ (July 22, 2026) — Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) marked the most successful year for economic development in Arizona’s history. During the 12‑month period ending June 30, 2026, the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) and local economic development partners worked with companies that committed to creating 26,225 projected new Arizona jobs and investing more than $109 billion into communities statewide — both single‑year records. The projected new jobs carry an average wage of $81,368, higher than the state median wage. This new fiscal year also marks the 15‑year anniversary of the Arizona Commerce Authority — the state’s leading economic development agency.

The announcement brings TSMC’s total investment in Arizona to $265 billion — representing 10 fabs, 2 advanced packaging facilities, and a R&D center, all supporting thousands of high‑tech jobs. Upon completion of its announced fabs, around 30% of TSMC's 2-nanometer and more advanced capacity will be located in Arizona, creating an independent leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing cluster. TSMC Arizona currently employs more than 3,500 people in the state.
