Good morning, thank you for coming today. Before we begin, I just want to point out a few important things:

.You should have received a handout when you came in this morning presenting an overview on what we’ll be discussing today. I encourage you to refer to it during the presentation and discussions later.
.Our presentation is about our direction in state government over the next decade in terms of community, economic and workforce development. We’ll be presenting several strategies, but please note they are very high level to accommodate the unique development opportunities in local communities. This is not intended to be a top-down approach, and we’re here today to get your input and to ensure we’re heading in the right direction.
.What we’ll discuss today is the product of many hours of work and input from countless people throughout Arizona over the last few years. We want to thank all of you who have contributed either as a steering committee member, a council or commission member, a business or community leader or just being here today.
.After my presentation, we’ll have a period of Q&A and then we’ll break into groups for some in-depth discussion. You’ve been pre-assigned to a discussion group, and you’ll find your group number printed on your name tag. Each group will be answering the same set of questions, and we have facilitators and records to make it easy for you to respond.
