Small Business Services (SBS) has a dual focus: First – to provide information on business licensing and statewide resources for every stage of business development and second – to serve as an advocate by developing policies and programs addressing the needs of small businesses. SBS works closely with entrepreneurs, government officials, community leaders and business organizations, focusing on support and opportunities for Arizona’s small, minority-, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises.
START, OPERATE AND GROW A BUSINESS IN ARIZONA
The Arizona Entrepreneur’s Edge (AzEE) is the state’s official resource guide for starting, operating and growing a business. Topics covered include business planning and research, business assistance and counseling, financial options and funding sources, business structures and registration, business license and tax information, labor guidelines and workforce assistance, technology business development, procurement, certifications and service provider programs and resources across the state.
Our Checklist Program, a comprehensive online resource center or “Go to Site” for small businesses, provides the tools to help individuals navigate quickly and easily to business licensing in order to start and operate a business in Arizona. It also includes contact information to statewide resources and assistance to accelerate their business growth.
