The city of Chandler is a vibrant community in the southeast part of metropolitan Phoenix. Chandler is known for its award-winning quality of life, top-ranked schools, skilled workforce and reputation as the “Innovation and Technology Hub of the Southwest.”

Chandler is one of the strongest economic centers in the region and boasts a diverse mix of industry leaders. Long known for Intel’s presence, Chandler is home to world-renowned technology companies such as Avnet, Garmin, Microchip, NXP Semiconductors, Orbital ATK, PayPal and Verizon, in addition to GM's IT Innovation Center. Additionally, many financial services giants have a significant presence in Chandler including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Charles Schwab, GM Financial Services and Toyota Financial Services.

Chandler employers have access to a well-educated, diverse and growing workforce of nearly two million people within a 30-minute commute. The proximity to Arizona State University (ASU), one of the largest public universities in the nation by enrollment, provides a constant flow of talented graduates to employers. The city concurrently has a strong relationship with Chandler-Gilbert Community College, which provides customized workforce training for employers in the area.

Scenic Attractions

Chandler annually celebrates the best it has to offer through unique festivals. In March, the annual Chandler Ostrich Festival attracts more than 200,000 people with a parade, a carnival, live entertainment and ostrich races. Each December, Chandler hosts the Tumbleweed Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights in Downtown Chandler. Additionally, Chandler hosts an annual Classic Car & Hot Rod Show, Chandler SciTech Festival, Chandler Jazz Festival and Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular.

The Chandler Museum offers exhibits on local farming, Native American artifacts and life in early Arizona. The Arizona Railway Museum features a steam locomotive, tank car, caboose and train station. The Chandler Center for the Arts features live musical performances, plays and dance interpretations.

Community Facilities

Chandler is home to multiple resources for entrepreneurs and startups in the community. These resources include a city-funded business incubator called Innovations. The incubator offers incubation programming and services delivered by Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NACET), TechShop’s community-based workshop and prototyping studio, Gangplank’s collaborative coworking and event space and technology-based education at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center.

Chandler is proud to operate 65 public parks, which represent one park for every square mile in the city. The city of Chandler and other organizations schedule many recreational programs throughout the year. Chandler has one museum, four libraries, an arts center, six swimming pools and aquatic centers, four golf courses, an outdoor archery facility, several racquetball courts and a 15-court tennis complex.
