In October, Arizona MEP, the Arizona Department of Education, and Arizona State University partnered once again to bring together students with local manufacturers. A tradeshow-style event was held at ASU West Campus on October 24 and ASU Polytechnic Campus on October 31 in celebration of Manufacturing Month. Each event had approximately 300 students from twenty middle and high schools in Arizona.
During the events, students had the opportunity to engage directly with manufacturers—learning about each company’s products, operations, and the career pathways. These conversations helped students gain valuable insight into Arizona’s manufacturing sector and the opportunities it offers for their future. Those interested in learning more could schedule a follow-up tour of the manufacturer’s facility. Students also got hands-on experience with demonstrations and activities that show how manufacturing combines science, design and problem-solving.
The events could not have been possible without the dedicated manufacturers and partners that participated, a big round of applause for the following:
- Foam Packaging Specialties
- House of Holmes
- Smithcraft Signs
- Avadent
- Honeywell
- ITC MFG
- Copper State Bolt and Nut
- Specialty Weld Systems
- Life Start up Essentials
- Trademark Visual
- Polytechnic Campus
- MJS Designs
- Axon
