Phoenix continues to establish itself as one of North America’s leading tech markets, according to CBRE’s annual “Scoring Tech Talent” report.

The report, released last week by the international real estate firm, noted that Phoenix now ranks as the No. 3 largest market in tech job growth, behind only San Francisco’s Bay Area and Baltimore.

Overall, the Valley of the Sun jumped nine spots to No. 11 in the scorecard, which examined the Top 50 tech labor markets in the U.S. and Canada. The report analyzed the markets’ ability to attract and retain tech talent.

No doubt, Phoenix and the state of Arizona have a dynamic ecosystem of global technology giants, as well as fast-growing start-ups, which are helping to feed this growth in the tech labor market.

It’s a sophisticated mix of companies, ranging from global giants like Apple, Intel and Go Daddy to local success stories like Infusionsoft, WebPT and IO Data Centers. Just last month, Swiss data security giant Kudelski Group announced it was establishing a U.S. headquarters in Phoenix, remarking that Arizona “is the place of choice for digital-age pioneers.”

The CBRE report follows a Forbes analysis last month that ranked the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale region No. 3 in the country for tech and information jobs.
