The Arizona MEP team attended the MEP National Network™ Update Meeting and 2021 Center Best Practices Conference at the end of August. The conference, held at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, brought MEPs together from across the nation to share manufacturing best practices.

The event opened with Rodney Nelson, Arizona MEP’s Vice President of Client Operations, welcoming everyone to Phoenix and introducing Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. Watson presented a video message from Governor Doug Ducey and discussed Arizona’s competitive edge, which helped the State land several new chip plants, making Arizona a hub for advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

Watson, and Seema Phull, Principal at ForeOptics, also participated in a panel discussion on supply chain issues in the US.

The conference had over 30 different breakout sessions and training workshops on various topics pertinent to manufacturers.
