Successful Lean transformations require leaders who understand Lean philosophy and how to use the Lean tools. They must understand their role and how leadership creates a culture for lasting change. The Lean Green Belt course, offered by Arizona MEP, will help company leaders develop the skills needed to support and drive improvement efforts.

The 5-day course, held over four months, uses practical examples, breakout sessions and hands-on exercises to engage students. Case studies will challenge the students to apply the principles learned to the management and cultural issues discussed. A test will be administered at the fourth session, and student capstone presentations of benefits and lessons learned will close out the final day. Arizona MEP advisors will visit each location between classes and offer coaching on the student’s projects. Company sponsors are encouraged to attend the presentations.

The Lean Green Belt course covers these lean processes and tools over 32 hours of instruction. All training materials, handouts and lunches are included.
