AgJunction Selects Arizona for New Corporate Headquarters

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (December 13, 2018) — Agritech company AgJunction has announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters from Hiawatha, Kansas to Scottsdale, Arizona effective immediately.

“We decided that Arizona was the right fit for our new corporate headquarters,” said Dave Vaughn, AgJunction President and Chief Executive Officer. “The decision to select Arizona as AgJunction’s new headquarters was based on the successful growth of our Technology Center of Excellence in Scottsdale and the state’s focus on the autonomous and agriculture technology industries.”

AgJunction, a global leader of advanced guidance and autosteering solutions for precision agricultural applications, announced in the spring of 2018 the creation of two Technology Centers of Excellence. These technology hubs, established in Scottsdale, Arizona and Brisbane, Australia, are research and development facilities focused on accelerating innovation for low-cost, simple-to-use precision agriculture solutions for farmers.

“Developments in agricultural technology being pioneered by companies like AgJunction are the kinds of innovations that not only benefit Arizona's agriculture industry, but also have a worldwide impact," said Arizona Governor Doug Ducey. "We're proud AgJunction has selected Arizona as their home base and look forward to seeing their future innovations."

AgJunction creates affordable precision ag solutions to help farmers get more out of the land through hands-free farming. The ability to precisely autosteer a tractor is proven to increase yield and decrease input costs regardless of the size of the farm.

“For decades, the brightest minds have been engineering innovative ways to grow crops in Arizona,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “Our state’s long history of agricultural expertise, combined with our focus on leveraging emerging technologies to find new solutions, makes Arizona the ideal location for an agritech leader like AgJunction to advance its mission.”

“AgJunction relocating their headquarters to Greater Phoenix is an exciting win for the region,” says Chris Camacho, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “Technology businesses continue to seek out Greater Phoenix and AgJunction’s innovative autosteer technology is a perfect example of this momentum. We’re excited about their expansion to the region and look forward to their continued growth."
The Scottsdale facility will initially create 56 jobs in engineering, program management, finance and customer support over the next three years.
