Lucid Expands Its Arizona Footprint With Grand Opening Of New Phoenix Hub

PHOENIX, AZ (June 11, 2025) – Lucid Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: LCID), maker of the world’s most advanced electric vehicles, today announced the opening of its Phoenix Hub facility in Arizona, following the company’s acquisition of select Nikola assets in early April. The new Lucid facility marks a strategic expansion for the company, furthering its manufacturing, product development and warehousing footprint while advancing the company’s prior planned expansion in the state.

These new facilities provide Lucid with immediate and substantial capacity for advanced manufacturing activities, as well as developing product innovations and testing components and systems, said Adrian Price, Senior Vice President of Operations at Lucid. This creates a powerful, integrated ecosystem with our existing manufacturing facility in Casa Grande. We're thrilled to add these facilities, expand our Arizona footprint, and further grow our talented team at Lucid.

In April, Lucid reached an agreement to acquire select facilities and assets in Arizona previously belonging to Nikola Corporation, including sites in Phoenix and Coolidge. These buildings collectively add more than 884,000-square-feet to Lucid’s existing Arizona footprint, totaling nearly 4 million total square feet across the state. The new facilities include development equipment with extensive battery and environmental testing chambers, a full-size chassis dynamometer, machining equipment, and much more.

The Phoenix Hub and Coolidge site will further support the primary manufacturing factory in Casa Grande as the company continues the ramp up of Lucid Gravity production and activities to prepare for its upcoming midsize vehicle platform. As part of the company’s planned future expansion, it aims to add as many as 500 new jobs in Phoenix over the next 3-5 years.

Lucid has cemented itself as a pioneer of advanced technology manufacturing in Arizona, and today’s grand re-opening of the Phoenix site is a testament to Lucid’s continued investment and expansion in the state as a manufacturing and electric vehicle hub.

We are proud to celebrate this exciting next chapter for Lucid in Arizona, said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. The Phoenix Hub will advance electric vehicle innovation and technologies and support Lucid’s state-of-the-art manufacturing operations. We’re grateful to Lucid CEO Marc Winterhoff and the entire Lucid team for their continued commitment to our state.

This is a victory for Phoenix, further strengthening Arizona’s position as a hub for the future of clean-tech and advanced manufacturing, said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. We are delighted to welcome Lucid to the city of Phoenix. Their investment in our community and commitment to retaining and expanding high-skilled jobs in the state serve as a strong testament to our shared vision for innovation and long-term growth.
