The Arizona State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) program supports small businesses by improving their access to capital. The initiative is part of a broader federal effort to help small businesses grow and create jobs. The program provides funding to state programs that partner with private lenders to extend capital to small businesses that might not otherwise have access to loans or investment capital.

Arizona’s Small Business Academy equips small businesses across the state with the knowledge to scale their business. The Arizona Commerce Authority works with experienced and successful business owners to share their insights and strategies with entrepreneurs and SMBs. ACA, National Network for Microelectronics Education, SEMI Foundation and Regional Partners Announce NNME Southwest Regional Node

TEMPE, AZ (May 27, 2026) – Government, industry, and workforce leaders gathered today to announce a major new initiative to strengthen microelectronics talent pipelines across the Southwest. At a press event at JA BizTown, the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), in partnership with the National Network for Microelectronics Education (NNME), SEMI Foundation, and the National Science Foundation (NSF), announced the designation of NNME Southwest as an official NNME Regional Node—one of the nation’s anchor hubs for semiconductor workforce development. Convened by the Arizona Commerce Authority, NNME Southwest brings together 47 members across five states—Arizona, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Southern California—to build a regionally anchored, nationally scalable workforce system.

Arizona Commerce Authority Leads Innovation and Economic Development Delegation to Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan

PHOENIX, AZ (May 26, 2026) Building on record international activity and historic foreign investments, the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), will lead an economic and innovation-focused delegation to Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan from May 27 through June 3. The visit underscores Arizona’s accelerating international momentum and the state’s expanding leadership in the global technology ecosystem. The delegation will begin in Tokyo and Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan before traveling to Seoul in the Republic of Korea. For the final leg, the ACA will be joined by 20 Arizona partners in Taipei and Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, for meetings with government, business, academic, and innovation leaders.
