Students' Right To Know

Arizona’s Students’ Right to Know Act (ARS § 41-1509) requires the Arizona Commerce Authority to transmit certain career landscape information to high schools statewide so that it may be shared with students. This is the first year of the requirement, and the data must be distributed before December 1 every year. The data are compiled into five spreadsheets linked at the bottom of this page. The table below describes the statutorily required information and in which spreadsheet it is found:

Notes about the data sources and how the various rates were computed are found in tabs in each spreadsheet and are important to consider in interpreting the data.

The Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO), which routinely compiles data on the most in-demand industries and occupations in Arizona, compiled the in-demand occupation data for this purpose.

Other data were collected from a variety of agencies and sources in collaboration with OEO and ACA by the consulting firm of Elliott D. Pollack & Company. Sources are noted in each spreadsheet.
