The Arizona Board of Physical Therapy licenses and certifies qualified applicants as physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. In addition, Business Entity Registration is required for business entities that offer physical therapy services when the entity is not completely owned by Arizona licensed healthcare professionals or the entity is not otherwise regulated by the State of Arizona.

Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT): Provides and promote educational programs and products for board members, administrators, the public and other stakeholders. In addition, FSBPT is the national testing body for physical therapists and physical therapists assistants.
American Physical Therapy Association (APTA): Professional organization representing more than 85,000 member physical therapists (PTs), physical therapist assistants (PTAs), and students of physical therapy. APTA seeks to improve the health and quality of life of individuals in society by advancing physical therapist practice, education, and research, and by increasing the awareness and understanding of physical therapy's role in the nation's health care system.
