GOODYEAR, AZ (May 20, 2025) – GTI Energy, a division of Buffalo based GTI Fabrication, a leading contract manufacturer of mission critical equipment, announced plans of a $33 million initial investment, with plans to invest another $20 million to open a 530,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at Lakin Park in Goodyear, Arizona. The strategic expansion is driven by increasing demand in the renewable energy and data center sectors. The new facility will initially create 250 new jobs, ramping up to 600 total jobs once fully operational in 2026. The Goodyear facility will serve as GTI’s primary high-volume manufacturing site, including raw steel processing and welding to electrical integration, battery installation, and end-of-line testing. 

MESA, AZ (May 19, 2025) — Apex Power Conversion, a solar and storage company, today celebrated the ribbon cutting of its U.S. headquarters and manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona. Apex Power will initially employ up to 300 people, with plans to employ up to 700 by 2029. Representing an over $60 million investment, the 206,000-square-foot facility is currently used for customer engagement and product training, and will be expanded for advanced multi-megawatt power conversion manufacturing for integrating renewables and energy storage with the grid. The first full units are expected to be manufactured in the first quarter of 2026.

PHOENIX, AZ (March 13, 2025) — Eternity Technologies Inc., a global leader in the industrial battery market, is proud to announce the selection of Phoenix, Arizona, as the site of its new North American headquarters and cutting-edge battery manufacturing facility. Representing a $20 million investment, the new facility will feature advanced manufacturing technology to produce high-performance batteries tailored for industrial traction applications. PHOENIX, AZ (February 3, 2025) – CC Patio,  a luxury outdoor furniture manufacturer, recently completed construction of its state-of-the-art 35,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona. CC Patio celebrated the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony on February 1. The facility will support over 75 total jobs. GLENDALE, AZ (January 28, 2025) – Today, Nestlé USA announced the grand opening of its new beverage factory and distribution center in Glendale, Arizona. The new facility will produce creamers for several of Nestlé’s go-to brands, including Coffee mate®, natural bliss® and Starbucks®, and has the ability to extend to additional beverages in the future. CHANDLER, AZ (December 12, 2024) – 3D Barrier Bags Inc., a leader in the production of customized, high-barrier foil bags, is excited to announce the opening of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona. Ltd., Taiwan’s premier semiconductor chemical supplier, is expanding its international footprint with the grand opening of its first manufacturing facility outside of Asia – Sunlit Arizona, LLC. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the plant will provide critical materials to support the U.S. semiconductor industry. Representing a $100-million investment, the 900,000-square-foot facility will optimize the production of high-purity hydrofluoric acid and other essential chemicals vital for semiconductor fabrication. The plant’s first phase is expected to create more than 50 local jobs by early 2025, with plans to scale up to 100 employees.

MESA, AZ (October 21, 2024) — Nucleus RadioPharma, the world’s first fully integrated development, manufacturing, and supply chain organization for radiopharmaceuticals, today announced that it has signed a lease and committed to build a new manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona. Once operational in mid-2026, the 53,000-square-foot facility will create 50 new skilled jobs. Nucleus’ new space will help fulfill high-quality development and manufacturing capabilities of radiopharmaceutical treatments, allowing its partners to produce crucial theranostics.

MESA, AZ (August 8, 2024) – Today, the Arizona Commerce Authority, Greater Phoenix Economic Council and the City of Mesa announced that Magna, a mobility technology company and one of the largest suppliers in the automotive space, is building a manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona. Located at Power Industrial Park, the nearly 230,000-square-foot facility is expected to create hundreds of new jobs. Representing a multi-million-dollar investment, Magna’s new manufacturing facility highlights Arizona’s rapidly-growing automotive ecosystem that includes electric vehicle manufacturers and automated vehicle innovators.

TEMPE, AZ (July 26, 2024) – Amkor Technology, Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor packaging and test services, announced today it has signed a non-binding preliminary memorandum of terms with the U.S. Department of Commerce to receive up to $400 million in proposed funding as part of the CHIPS and Science Act. Amkor announced in November 2023 its plans to build its first domestic OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) facility in Peoria, Arizona. Amkor plans to invest approximately $2 billion and employ approximately 2,000 people at the new facility. Upon completion, the Peoria facility will be the largest outsourced advanced packaging and test facility in the United States. Amkor has secured approximately 55 acres to build a state-of-the-art manufacturing campus with over 500,000-square-feet of clean room space. The first phase of the manufacturing facility is expected to be ready for production within three years.

MESA, AZ (June 6, 2024) — CarbonCapture Inc. (CarbonCapture) a leading U.S. direct air capture (DAC) system company that builds modular systems that can be mass produced, today announced the signing of a  lease for its first manufacturing site — an 83,000-square-foot high-volume manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona. At full capacity, the facility is projected to manufacture 4,000 modules per year — equal to two megatons of carbon dioxide removal capacity. After a nationwide search, the site was chosen due to its central location, availability of clean energy, and workforce readiness. The facility will employ 30 full time hires growing to an expected 400 total by 2029. The facility will be located at 3437 S. Crismon Road in Mesa’s Elliot Road Technology Corridor.

CASA GRANDE, AZ (May 15, 2024) – Kohler Co., a global leader in kitchen and bath products, officially opened the doors to its new manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event hosted by company leadership. Among those in attendance were Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, new Kohler associates filling more than 400 full-time positions, state and local officials, and Kohler customers. BUCKEYE, AZ (May 2, 2024) – Fortescue marked a new phase in the development of the company’s $550 million venture into green hydrogen production in the United States, the first of Fortescue’s planned green energy investments in North America with a soil turn ceremony on May 2 and renaming of its green hydrogen facility in Buckeye, Arizona to Arizona Hydrogen. The new facility is expected to be operational in 2026, creating 40 new direct jobs and is slated to produce up to 11,000 tons of liquid green hydrogen annually.

MESA, AZ (April 17, 2024) – XNRGY Climate Systems (“XNRGY”), a North American leader in sustainable HVAC solutions, celebrated the groundbreaking of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and U.S. headquarters in Mesa, Arizona on April 16. PHOENIX, AZ (April 8, 2024) – TSMC announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce and TSMC Arizona have signed preliminary terms for up to $6.6 billion in direct funding under the CHIPS and Science Act. TSMC also announced plans to build a third fab at TSMC Arizona, leveraging the most advanced semiconductor process technology in the United States, bringing TSMC’s total investment to more than $65 billion and creating 6,000 new jobs. 

QUEEN CREEK, AZ (April 3, 2024) – The construction of a major battery manufacturing complex in Queen Creek, Arizona, announced by LG Energy Solution last year, is on track to be completed in two years with the first round of hiring expected to begin at the end of this year. The company provided progress updates on its $5.5 billion stand-alone facility during a stakeholder meeting today at Combs High School in San Tan Valley near the complex location. With steel beams now being placed at the site, the complex is on track to be completed in  2026 and creating several thousand new jobs.

CHANDLER, AZ (March 20, 2024) — The Biden-Harris Administration announced that Intel and the U.S. Department of Commerce have signed a preliminary memorandum of terms (PMT) for up to $8.5 billion in direct funding to Intel for commercial semiconductor projects under the CHIPS and Science Act. The proposed funding would help advance Intel’s semiconductor manufacturing and research and development projects at its sites in Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio and Oregon. The CHIPS Act funding will support Intel’s $34.5 billion investment in Arizona to date, supporting an additional 3,000 new jobs

CASA GRANDE, AZ (March 13, 2024) – FrameTec, a pioneering building component manufacturing plant and building framing services company, announced today plans to build a truss and wall panel manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. Representing a $150 million capital investment, the new facility will consist of two plant buildings, with the first phase of construction commencing in Summer 2024. The first plant is expected to be operational in 2026 followed by the second plant in 2027 and create over 400 total new jobs.

TUCSON, AZ (October 26, 2023) — American Battery Factory (ABF), an emerging battery manufacturer leading the development of the first network of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell gigafactories in the United States, today broke ground on a two million square foot gigafactory located in Tucson, Arizona. The $39 million investment in the Chandler facility is the largest investment the company has made in its semiconductor equipment and services business.

CHANDLER, AZ (July 27, 2023) –Yield Engineering Systems (YES), a leading provider of technology solutions and process equipment for the semiconductor ecosystem and applications, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for its new 123,000-square-foot facility in Chandler, Arizona. The state-of-the-art YES Advanced Technology Center (YATC) will include 50,000 square-feet of manufacturing space and a 10,000-square-foot cleanroom, supporting 100 new jobs.

GOODYEAR, AZ (July 24, 2023) – Romac Industries, Inc., America’s premier manufacturer of pipe products for the waterworks and wastewater industries, announced today it has leased a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Goodyear, Arizona. The facility will commence the first phase of operations in August, and expects to be fully operational by December 2023 and generate job creation for years to come. Representing a significant investment, the 60,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility will help Romac increase efficiency and streamline operations. 

TEMPE, AZ (July 11, 2023) – Arizona State University (ASU) and Applied Materials, Inc. today announced an alliance, aided by the Arizona Commerce Authority, that brings more than $270 million to create a world-class shared research, development and prototyping facility, the Materials-to-Fab (MTF) Center, in the university’s MacroTechnology Works building at ASU Research Park. The MTF Center will be designed to accelerate the transfer of innovations from ideation to fab prototype and is expected to be operational within two years.

BUCKEYE, AZ (May 11, 2023) – Rehrig Pacific, a leading manufacturer of integrated sustainable solutions for the supply chain and environmental waste industries, today held a groundbreaking ceremony of its new injection molding manufacturing plant in Buckeye, Arizona. Anticipating an opening in late April of 2024, this project represents a significant investment in Buckeye, creating over 100 jobs. EL MIRAGE, AZ (March 30, 2023) – Avanti Windows & Doors, a leading manufacturer and installer of vinyl window and doors systems, announced the construction of a new facility in El Mirage, Arizona. The 303,419-square-foot site will serve as the company’s headquarters, manufacturing capacity, and field installation operations for the Valley. YUMA COUNTY, AZ (March 29, 2023) – EVelution Energy, a U.S. electric vehicle (EV) battery materials processing company, announced plans to build a solar-powered carbon neutral cobalt sulfate production facility in Yuma County, Arizona. This facility, the first of its kind in the U.S., is expected to commence construction in 2024, be fully operational by 2026, and create approximately 300 construction jobs and 60 full-time jobs once operational. Representing a $200 million investment, the facility will produce cobalt sulfate for EV batteries, a material crucial to America’s initiative to electrify the U.S. automotive fleet and transition to a net-zero economy.

QUEEN CREEK, AZ (March 24, 2023) – LG Energy Solution (LGES), a leading global manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, mobility, IT, and energy storage systems, today announced it will invest a total of $5.5 billion to build a battery manufacturing complex in Queen Creek, Arizona. The complex will consist of two manufacturing facilities – one for cylindrical batteries for electric vehicles (EV) and another for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pouch-type batteries for energy storage systems (ESS). The investment represents the largest single investment ever for a stand-alone battery manufacturing facility in North America.

MESA, AZ (March 3, 2023) – Benchmark Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: BHE), a global provider of engineering, design, and manufacturing services, today celebrated the grand opening of its new Precision Technologies facility in Mesa, Arizona. The 64,000-square-foot facility is designed to provide a number of key engineering and manufacturing solution services, most notably in semiconductor capital equipment. Benchmark intends to invest $20 million into capabilities and technology at the new facility, in addition to hiring 100 people to support this facility as the company ramps up with customers.

PIMA, AZ (February 23, 2023) — Optimal Health Systems (OHS), a leading holistic health company and whole food supplement manufacturer, announced it has expanded its supplement manufacturing operations in Pima, Arizona. The 4,500-square-foot formulation, production and marketing facility will increase whole food vitamins and supplement production while creating over 20 new jobs, doubling the company’s headcount to more than 40 employees. 

PEORIA, AZ (February 15, 2023) — HyRel Technologies, a global provider of quick turn semiconductor modification solutions, announced it has commenced operations of its manufacturing facility in Peoria, Arizona, creating 50 new jobs. Representing a $15 million investment, the custom 20,000-square-foot facility will be geared towards touchless robotic processing systems for microelectronic components, semiconductors, tape and reel, component recovery, and NPI/contract manufacturing services. HyRel provides services to aerospace, defense, medical, industrial, commercial and OEM. 

PHOENIX, AZ (January 10, 2023) — JA Solar, a global solar cell and module manufacturing leader, announced today it has leased space for its first manufacturing facility in the U.S. in Phoenix, Arizona. The new facility will produce high-performance photovoltaic (PV) products, and is expected to be operational by Q4 2023, creating over 600 new jobs. Representing a $60 million investment, the new facility will have a production capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW) once it is fully functional.

CHANDLER, AZ (December 13, 2022) — Gummi World, a leading dietary supplement manufacturer, today celebrated the ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony for its new 55,000-square-foot dietary supplement manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona. KINGMAN, AZ (December 7, 2022) — Interstate Warehousing, one of the largest refrigerated warehouse companies in the world, held a groundbreaking ceremony today in Kingman, Arizona, marking that construction will begin soon on its newest cold storage facility on a 92-acre site in Kingman. The first phase of IWI Kingman will be a 273,000-square-foot freezer facility with a 55-foot clear ceiling. The facility is projected to create 70 jobs and is expected to be operational in 2023.

TUCSON, AZ (December 7, 2022) — Sion Power Corporation, a leading technology developer of next-generation batteries for electric vehicles (EV), announced today plans to expand its existing manufacturing operations in Tucson, Arizona. The planned expansion site is the 111,400-square-foot building at 6950 S. Country Club Rd. The expansion is expected to be complete by 2026 and create over 150 jobs. The overall economic impact of the expansion is $341 million over the next five years. Sion Power’s headquarters will remain in its nearby location at 2900 E. Elvira Rd., doubling its footprint.

PHOENIX, AZ (December 6, 2022) — Governor Doug Ducey and TSMC celebrated the first piece of equipment added to one of the most technologically advanced chip factories in the world. If the years-long effort to bring the high-tech chip manufacturing operation to Arizona wasn’t already the “deal of the decade,” TSMC’s announcement that it would add a second fab, invest a total of $40 billion and create 4,500 jobs at its Arizona operations certainly seals the deal. The facility will utilize TSMC’s 4-nanometer technology for semiconductor wafer fabrication. The second, newly announced fab, will be equipped for 3 nanometer production by 2026. There will be a combined annual capacity of 600,000 wafers a year.

TUCSON, AZ (December 6, 2022) — Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and Paul Charles, President and CEO of American Battery Factory (ABF), today announced that Tucson, Arizona has been selected as the site for the first in a planned series of battery cell gigafactories based in the United States. The site will serve as ABF’s official headquarters and will be the country’s largest gigafactory for the production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells at 2 million square feet. An estimated $1.2 billion capital investment, the new facility will create 300 jobs in the first phase of the factory’s opening, scaling up to 1,000 cumulative jobs. 

CAMP VERDE, AZ (November 30, 2022) — FrameTec, a manufacturer and framing services company, announced today it has commenced construction of its roof and floor truss and wall panel manufacturing facility in Camp Verde, Arizona. The 110,000-square-foot facility is expected to be fully operational by spring 2024, creating over 180 new jobs. Representing a $40 million investment, the new facility will also serve as FrameTec’s U.S. headquarters.  

CASA GRANDE, AZ (November 22, 2022) — KPCT Advanced Chemicals, a joint venture between Kanto Group, a leading semiconductor chemical supplier based in Taiwan and Chemtrade Logistics Inc., the leading North American producer of electronic grade sulfuric acid, announced today plans to build a $200 million electronic grade sulphuric acid manufacturing plant in Casa Grande, Arizona. The site will occupy 10 acres and is expected to be operational by 2025, creating approximately 65 jobs. 

COOLIDGE, AZ (November 11, 2022) — The Arizona Commerce Authority announced today that Procter & Gamble (P&G), a global consumer goods leader, plans to build a new manufacturing facility in Coolidge, Arizona. The facility will support P&G’s fabric care portfolio, which includes products such as Tide PODS®, Downy Unstopables® and Bounce® Dryer Sheets. Representing a $500 million investment, the facility is expected to be operational by 2025, creating approximately 500 new jobs.

CASA GRANDE, AZ (October 20, 2022) — Chang Chun Arizona, a leading petrochemical supplier based in Taiwan, broke ground today on its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. GILBERT, AZ (August 30, 2022) – Corning Incorporated, one of the world's leading innovators in materials science, announced today it is expanding its manufacturing capacity for optical cable. Corning will build a new cable manufacturing facility in Gilbert, Arizona, creating 250 jobs. The facility, which is expected to open in 2024, will be the industry’s western-most U.S. manufacturing site for optical cable – allowing Corning to serve growing demand in the western U.S. and Canada. 

KINGMAN, AZ (August 3, 2022) – Nucor, the largest steel and steel products producer in the U.S., announced today it is investing $100 million to add a new electric arc furnace melt shop at its existing bar mill in Kingman, Arizona. The melt shop, which will have the capacity to produce 600,000 tons annually, is expected to be operational by 2024 and create 140 new jobs. 

GLENDALE, AZ (July 28, 2022) – Enviro-Log Company, LLC, a leading eco-friendly, consumer products and recycling company, announced today that it will open a new recycling and manufacturing facility in Glendale, Arizona this summer, creating over 50 jobs. Located at 7676 N. Glen Harbor Boulevard, the 76,156-square-foot facility will be dedicated to recycling waxed cardboard boxes (WOCC) and manufacturing its environmentally-friendly, Enviro-Log products.  

CASA GRANDE, AZ (July 26, 2022) – Solvay has announced its plans to invest in a new facility to produce electronic grade hydrogen peroxide (eH2O2) in Casa Grande, Arizona, to supply the growing U.S. semiconductor manufacturing market. The facility will convert hydrogen peroxide into an ultra-high purity grade to clean silicon wafers that are needed to manufacture semiconductors, essential components of electronic devices. Solvay will create 30 jobs at the new facility, which is expected to begin construction in 2023.

Phoenix Business Journal: Beverly Hills, California-based U.S. Merchants, a leading packaging and display provider and molded storage crate manufacturer, recently acquired a new industrial facility that it plans to use for manufacturing, packaging and distribution in the West Valley. U.S. Merchants expects to be operational in the next few months and hire between 600 to 700 people at the new facility.

SAHUARITA, AZ (May 10, 2022) — Steel Jupiter, a Minority-Owned, specialty coating manufacturer, announced today it has leased a 13,000-square-foot facility in Sahuarita for manufacturing, research and development. The facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2022, initially creating 15 jobs in the community.

GILBERT, AZ (April 22, 2022) – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) today marked the completion of its expansion of the Satellite Manufacturing facility at its Gilbert, Arizona campus. The expansion adds 120,000-square-feet to the existing 135,000-square-foot facility, nearly doubling the site’s production capacity to meet the company’s growing backlog of satellite orders.

QUEEN CREEK, AZ (APRIL 19, 2022) – Queen Creek is set to be home to a battery manufacturing facility. A global battery producer for next-generation technologies, LG Energy Solution (LGES) announced last month it is initially investing $1.4 billion to build its first ever cylindrical-type battery facility in North America. The company expects that the new facility will be able to employ a few thousand people, with construction starting this summer and production commencing in 2024.

CHANDLER, AZ (January 11, 2022) – EMD Electronics, the North American Electronics business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, today announced a new factory in Chandler to manufacture equipment for its Delivery Systems & Services (DS&S) business. GOODYEAR, AZ (December 27, 2021) — Meyer Burger Technology AG announced today that the company is establishing a production site for high-performance solar modules in Goodyear. The manufacturing facility is the company's first in the U.S. and is expected to be operational by end of 2022, creating over 500 manufacturing jobs at full capacity.

PAGE, AZ (December 15, 2021) — ZenniHome and the Navajo Nation Division of Economic Development are announcing the finalization of an Agreement allowing ZenniHome to begin manufacturing their residential product line on a portion of the former Navajo Generating Station (NGS). ZenniHome and the Navajo Nation are in the process of negotiating a long-term lease agreement to manufacture eco-friendly homes on the site.

KINGMAN, AZ — Zep, Inc. announced today the completion and startup of their newest AFCO production facility in Kingman’s Industrial Park. GOODYEAR, AZ — Helix Electric, one of the largest electrical contracting companies in the nation, announced today its first manufacturing facility in Arizona will be in Goodyear. The 112,000-square-foot facility will be used to manufacture and fabricate building components for electrical construction.

ELOY, AZ — Owens Corning, a global building and industrial materials leader, has announced plans to restart production at its insulation manufacturing facility in Eloy, Arizona. The 42,500 square-foot facility at Eloy Industrial Park is expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2022 and will bring more than 50 jobs to the area in a wide range of categories.

PHOENIX BUSINESS JOURNAL: Zero Electric Vehicles, a company that builds car electrification kits, has unveiled plans to build out a new head office and production center in Gilbert. The new 103,000-square foot space will allow the company to produce EV conversion kits for light and medium duty fleet vehicles that currently run on gasoline. The company also plans to build an electric vehicle chassis and full electric car of its own in the future.
