Court Reporter

All court reporters working in state courts in Arizona must be certified and must have Standard Certification or Provisional Standard Certification.

The Court Reporter Standard Certification Program provides statewide certification for persons in Arizona who are qualified to be certified. Court reporter standard certification applies to any person who records and transcribes a verbatim record in any sworn proceeding by means of written symbols or abbreviations in shorthand or machine writing in Arizona pursuant to the Arizona Revised Statutes.

In addition, all reporting firms providing regulated services must be registered with the Certification and Licensing Division. (22)
