I will be a General Partnership

I will be a General Partnership

The partnership’s existence is usually formalized through preparation of a partnership agreement. In general, partnership agreements outline each partner’s share of income, gain, loss, deductions, credits and methods to dissolve the partnership under various situations. The Arizona Secretary of State's office can accept general partnership filings, however, the primary recording agency for general partnerships is the county recorder in which the partnership is located.

To ensure that all legal requirements are satisfied, it’s a good idea to consult an attorney to organize your partnership.

An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN) and is used to identify a business entity. Generally, businesses need an EIN. For more information, see the Employer Identification Number (EIN) section below or click here. (24)
