Arizona Commerce Authority Is Now Accepting FAST Grant Applications To Support Small Businesses

PHOENIX, AZ —The Arizona Commerce Authority announced today it is accepting applications for the Federal and State Technology (FAST) grant to support small businesses. Applications are being accepted through December 31, 2021. The Small Business Administration’s FAST Partnership Program is designed to support programs that advance innovative, technology-driven small businesses. The program’s goal is to increase the number of competitive bids for federally-funded innovation and research and development programs.

Arizona Economic Development Sets Records For Jobs, Investment In FY 2021

PHOENIX, AZ — Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 was a record-breaking year for statewide economic development. During the 12-month fiscal period that ended June 30, 2021, the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) successfully worked with companies that committed to creating a projected 23,317 new Arizona jobs while investing $24.8 billion in local communities — the most ever for both metrics. The projected jobs come with an average annual wage of $66,337, nearly $13,000, or 25%, higher than the state average.

Zero Electric Vehicles To Open New Headquarters And Production Facility In Gilbert

PHOENIX BUSINESS JOURNAL: Zero Electric Vehicles, a company that builds car electrification kits, has unveiled plans to build out a new head office and production center in Gilbert. The new 103,000-square foot space will allow the company to produce EV conversion kits for light and medium duty fleet vehicles that currently run on gasoline. The company also plans to build an electric vehicle chassis and full electric car of its own in the future.
